GRANT REQUEST

GRANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS & GUIDELINES

As we continue to focus on the needs of children, the foundation evaluates applications for grant requests from organizations that provide for the care of children age 18 and under.  We also consider organizations dedicated to the research and/or treatment of causes of emotional and physical afflictions of children.

To be considered for funding, organizations need to meet the following requirements

  • 1 The organization must be non-profit and tax exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • 2 Funds must be used for children in the State of Maryland.
  • 3 The organization must be in need of funding sources.
  • 4 The organization must not impose restrictions based on race, religion, creed, color, physical handicap or gender.

DEADLINES FOR RECEIVING APPLICATIONS

Applications will be considered on a quarterly basis and must be received by the dates below. The deadlines are:

Restrictions

Requests for grants will be considered only for immediate needs. Grants are not intended to be a source of long term or repeat funding.

Grants are not awarded in support of:

  • Advertising
  • Annual Awards
  • Building Funds
  • Deficit Financing
  • Endowments
  • General Fund
  • General Overhead Expenses
  • Political Action Groups
  • Professional Services
  • Salaries
  • Scholarships
  • Staff Training
  • Tuition

Financial Background

Please provide financial information pertaining to the organization. These should be mailed to our P.O. Box. This information should include copies of the following:

Detailed list of items to be funded and associated cost.
Business plan (If available) or detailed description of the work of the organization.
Detailed budget for current year.
